Knowledge Oman Wallpaper Submission[UPDATED]
Finally, after two months of annual leave and enjoyed a great vacation in the Philippines I am back in Oman.
Today is the start of Ramadhan on all Arab countries. Its a good start for us here because we only spend 5 hours of working hours. Anyway as the title says, this post is not about Ramadhan maybe I will just do another post which is about Ramadhan.
My routine when I go online is to visit all the forums that I was affiliated to. Knowledge Oman is the very first and until now my one and only forum that I am signed to here in Oman.
Just a brief info about KO. KnowledgeOman.com (KO) is an online community platform specifically engineered to create a knowledge based economy with a focus on developing the Information and Communication Technology Sector in Oman. The aim of this project is to solidify His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said’s Progressive Vision to transform the Sultanate into a Knowledge Society and build a knowledge-based economy.
Just found a thread from KO, that members are submitting a wallpaper design, I tried to design one, and this is it.
Just made an additional submission…

The temperature now in Oman is a little bit colder compared last year during this month.
KnowledgeOman was my first portal that i was signed to when I first came here. And I am glad that I had learned a lot of things through the portal

you are right Ax, Knowledge Oman has all the talented and promising people in the Sultanate of Oman, considering the founder Mr. Tariq, a very young and talented one
i like the part of the somewhat blurred effects tainted on the wallpaper and also the use of earth and elemental colors. but if i may give my other two cents, i do not like the three-layer sphere under the text. somewhat overkill!
although overall, simple and neat — so good for someone like me!

You're asking to critique your design. Here's what I think.
The text used for “connecting communities…..” doesn't quite match the overall layout.
Nice use of earthen colours. Are these what's generally seen in Oman?
If your logo/design is chosen, will they continue to use their current template or will they alter it accordingly? It wouldn't match, otherwise.
Whatever design you've got is absolutely fine for someone like me. I can't even make a “stick man”. I haven't got the technical skills.

thanks for the comment, generally the wallpaper design was based on the present logo of KO, i just made some effects on it to have that kind of design of wallpaper. your comment is highly appreciated, i will take consideration for my future designs. Cheers!

when we talk of simplicity i would chose the second image.
on the first image, its gud, but i would suggest try to experiment further on the placement and text color.
the word “connecting knowledge ….” is move visible than the main title which is the KNOWLEDGE OMAN.
try also to consider aligning the last text with the title. this would somehow create a more harmonious effect.
anyway, it is just a personal view. the overall design is good.

its alright sir, there is no law in here, i just made that announcement for the sake of our friends / readers from other country. I have no time yet to put some plugin to do the translation.
