Lets do this!

Before this blog reached 2 months old, I would like to conduct a contest to announce to the whole blogsphere that orphicpixel is existing. In short, this is what they call the Grand Launching 🙂 And I will be having my vacation soon, so instead of asking me a gift since I am an OEpW not a balikbayan. This contest will give you what you want. And instead of handing you one piece of chocolate or dates, I had decided to give away domain names.

Well you heard it  right! I will be giving away your “pasalubongs” in the form of contest. So what are you waiting for? It’s so easy to join, you don’t have to purchase anything, or edit a photo, nor fill up a raffle coupon.

First allow me to discuss your soon-to-be prizes.

The Prize: 1 domain name of your choice(.com, .org or whatever you prefer except .com.ph), I will provide the hosting and 1 email address(email@yourdomain.com).

Limitations: After  1 year of the domain name, it will be your turn to renew it. Hosting provided will not have a control panel, I will only provide you the ftp account. For the hosting space, it will be 50gig, will this be enough for you guys?  I will initially install wordpress for your convenience.  The said prizes are intended only for blogging purposes & not to be used for business or whatsoever.

Duration: For the first prize, it will run for two weeks. I will announce the winner the day after its duration.  This contest will end July 31. Meaning I will be giving 2 domain names. The first winner will be announced on July 14 and the second winner will be on July 31.

Sponsors: My Wife.  If you want to sponsor this contest just let me know, strictly I need cash, domain name,hosting and apparel only. House and lot, brand new ferrari and US visa  will not be accepted.

Rules:

1. Before anything else, I might as well ask you to create a post about this contest and include this image on your post with a link to my blog(www.orphicpixel.com). I will be checking the link if its working 🙂

2. Leave a comment here, yes here, only on this post with your name, email and the link of your post.

3. Winner for the first two weeks will be automatically disqualified for the second domain name.

4. After July 14, for the second domain name the contest will run from July 15 to July 30. Incoming links will be counted only during that period.

Four rules are enough for me. I am running out of words here to provide more rules, damn! Just stick to what I already mentioned.  Anyway moving on….

How to win

First, post the image above with the link to my blog, whoever drives the most number of incoming links will be the winner. As simple as that.

This contest is a matter of creating a post with a link to my blog, or whatever ways and means on how you promote my blog.

I am using getclicky to determine the number and origins of incoming links,  see the image below. This is real time web analytics, so I can monitor daily, weekly and monthly statistics of this blog.

To win this contest it will depend on you and your blog, I am providing you also the image below to put on your sidebar if you wish to connect with my link, this will help you drive more links. And its your own way on how your going to promote my blog in order to have a large number of incoming links from your blog.

If you wish to include my links in all your upcoming posts, its your choice. Definitely you cant use mass mailing or any other way of promoting my blog for this contest, only incoming links from your blog will be considered and be counted.

I will post here the statistics every after three days depending on my availability for you to know your status on this contest.
