Dealing with WordPress Error: Warning: Cannot modify header information

Headache! Headache! and more headache… that was an hour ago

One of my online from who has a blog that was hosted in my hosting account encountered a problem.

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at //home/htdocs/wordpress/advanced-cache.php:2) in /home/htdocs/wordpress/pluggable.php on line 865

Before I started to work and fix the problem, I managed to have a good coffee and a couple of Marlboro Gold Touch. I know it would be a very tiring fix is waiting ahead of me.

With no idea at all, what causes the problem Mr. Google is the best option to start the fix. And viola! from hongkiat.com, I made a lots of reading from comments on the post with regards to the same wordpress issue.

And the most annoying thing comes, only  to find out that white/blank  line/spaces that was appended in the codes of six files that were all from wp-cache plugin folder.

Walkthrough:

  1. Determine the file that has a error from the displayed error message.
  2. Download the file
  3. Check for empty space before <?php and after ?>
  4. Delete spaces if found
  5. Save the file
  6. Upload the file(make sure to backup the old one)

Hope this might help you when time comes and you found your fingers scratching your head because of the said error.
