A month of ramadan has just past by, and in celebration and reward for a month long devotion and fasting here comes the Eid.
Eid ul-Fitr, often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning “festivity”, while Fiṭr means “to break fast”; and so the holiday symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period. It is celebrated after the end of the Islamic month of Ramadan, on the first day of Shawwal.
We were granted also to have a week vacation during the Eid, as an expat, we had a lot of different ways in celebrating Eid, but for us, from relatives and friends and even group mates we only spent our time visiting great places here in Muscat, from beaches to park, from hotels and palace.
